Ready, or not yet?
Ready ground is weed-free, levelled and topped with fresh topsoil, raked to a fine finish. If yours is, we go straight to spraying.
If it’s bare clay, builders’ fill, a tired old lawn or a patch of weeds, it gets prepared first. Tell us what’s there now and send photos.
Weeds and the old lawn
Old lawn and weeds come out first, so the new grass isn’t competing from day one. We remove the old lawn and take the green waste away.
Levels and grading
We grade the ground so it falls away from the house and drains, with no hollows to hold water. Banks and slopes get shaped so the seed and mulch sit on them.
Topsoil over clay
Bare clay sets hard in summer and stays wet in winter, and new builds often leave a section of it. A layer of good topsoil over the clay gives the roots somewhere to go.
Access and water
Tell us how we get in (a gate width, a side path, a drive) and where the nearest tap is. A tap within hose reach makes spray day straightforward.
One quote, two lines
The preparation and the hydroseeding are priced as separate lines, so you see exactly what the ground needs and what the seeding costs.
